Choosing the right person to represent you in negotiating your home sale or purchase is a major decision. In California, whenever you see the designation of Realtor® (with a registered trademark), you will know that agent is a current member of the California Association Of Realtors® (CAR), and has a commitment to meeting the standards of the organization. I work with a small but powerful network of true professionals that have done a fantastic job working with my previous clients, and I am ready to provide you with a referral to a qualified representative to help in your most important decisions in life many of us will ever make… Buying or selling your home!
How will you know which Realtor is right for you?
I would recommend seeking out a FULL TIME Real Estate professional that works in the kinds of transaction you are looking at on a regular basis. A true professional will go the extra mile to show you that they will look out for your best interest, and ultimately should gain your trust and respect. Sincerity is a key word here. This type of Real Estate agent will act promptly to get you information about their team and their methods of doing business, along with quotes and references from past clients.
I also like to pair buyers/sellers and Realtors that will work well together and take this into consideration before referring any of my clients to a Real Estate Agent. Once you set an appointment to meet with a Real Estate Agent and his/her team, they should be rolling out the red carpet for you. You should have a personal introduction to each person you are expected to have contact with throughout the escrow process. The right agent should go out of their way to establish a real long-term relationship with you, rather than thinking of you as nothing but a transaction. An experienced buyer’s representative will ask many questions regarding your goals rather than tell you what they think you want to hear. He/she will also take your finances into consideration so that they can help you make the best decision for you. They will seek to exceed your expectations in every way by having a system in place that provides complete customer satisfaction.
What can an experienced Realtor® do for you?
In my opinion having 20 years in the business isn’t necessarily something you need to look for, sometimes it can even be a detriment to your ultimate success in choosing the best agent if you make this a priority in your search for the right agent,. But as a buyer an experienced professional will have access to the computerized Multiple Listing Service (MLS), which changes daily. He/she can provide you with new listings to consider as they become available, and will also include important demographics and market value information on the area if you are seeking to buy a home.
If you are selling they will also use the MLS to provide you with a comprehensive Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) and really refine the best price to list your home at. They will also have many tools to really market your home, not just put a sign in the ground and call it a day.
This person will serve as a strong negotiator on your behalf and provide guidance every step of the way. In the long run, using a trained professional will save you time and money. It is important to let your Real Estate agent know what your goals are up front so they can make sure they are working on your behalf in the best way possible.
Likewise, it is equally important to let me know what your goals are so I can provide you with financing that fits your current and long-term goals. My job as your mortgage planner is not just to close a loan for you, but to help you build a strong financial future by assisting you with managing that debt in the future.
Here is a list of local business professionals I have come to know, like, and trust, and am more than happy to refer to without worry about how they will reflect on me…. PARTNERS
